It is probably no surprise that you can Make More with Metal, as our friends at Sherwin-Williams have been reminding us of the opportunities that exist in this $3.3 billion market. A market that is expected to grow by seven percent over the next year.
Adding metal roofing to your company’s offering can really set you apart from your competition and allow you to develop a more focused niche market who appreciate the longevity of the system. Adam Parnes of Global Home Improvement shared with Sherwin-Williams that by offering metal, his company is “able to define our target market, which is a higher-end customer who sees value in lifelong products.”
Parnes said his company got into metal roofing because they really like the longevity and performance versus asphalt shingles. The average homeowner will replace their asphalt roof an average of three times over 5o years, while metal roofs last 50-plus years, according to the Metal Roofing Alliance.
Todd Meinhold, owner and president of H&D Quality Builders and the company’s Cool Roofs brand, said that making the move to metal has been good for his business. “We can offer employee benefits. We’re updating equipment and constantly looking for new opportunities. We’re pickier about the projects we take on. And, we’ve seen an increase in business,” he shared with Sherwin-Williams.
Residential metal roofing is so versatile. It offers homeowners traditional and contemporary styles that will complement any home or neighborhood. Homeowners will also love the performance of their new metal roof. A properly installed metal roof, withstands Mother Nature, protecting the home from “extreme temperatures, high winds, hail, marine air and even fire—all with minimal maintenance,” writes the Metal Roofing Alliance. In addition to the protection metal roofs provide, they can also deliver energy efficiency to homeowners, helping them save on energy and cooling costs.
