Meet Mitch Rabin – Answer Me This! Winner

Mitch Rabin, president of A-1 Roofing Company in Elk Grove, Illinois was one of our recent winners! You could say he was born into the trade since the company was started 111 years ago by his grandfather. Mitch himself has been at the company for 41 of those 111 years!

Mitch shared that he went to college to become a certified public accountant but by his junior year, he knew he was going to join the family roofing business. He graduated from college and passed the CPA exam, but roofing was his future and he never looked back.

I asked Mitch how he became aware of RoofersCoffeeShop. “I think I got interested from emails. I talked to Heidi a few months ago when she called me after I sent an email telling her that I wanted to know more about you,” he explained.  

A member of the Chicago Roofing Contractors Association since 1973, Mitch served on the board in the 1990s, and then rejoined the board in 2011. He is now poised to take on the role of president next year. Mitch enjoys being active in the association because it provides an opportunity to learn and hear new ideas. Being active in your industry associations is important as it leads to the betterment of our industry overall – thanks Mitch for giving back!
