Roof coatings can provide low-slope roofs greater protection, lasting durability and improved energy efficiency. Help building owners understand when their roofs are eligible for this superior solution.

For commercial building owners, roof coatings appear as an easy, affordable way to extend the life of the roof without causing disruption to everyday operations and requiring little maintenance over time. However, not every roof is a good candidate for a coating solution. When starting this conversation with potential customers, it is helpful to explain what roof coatings are and how they protect the roof, when roof restoration is acceptable over roof replacement and how to choose the right coating for each building.

In a recent article highlighting the emerging coatings trend in the industry, Beacon Building Products has identified the largest benefits to applying coatings as an alternative solution to full tear offs. Roof coatings offer commercial buildings three key advantages: protection, longevity and energy efficiency.

  1. Protecting an investment: A quality coating will shield the roof from environmental wear and tear. It acts as a barrier against minor damage and imperfections, extending the life of the roof structure.

  1. Prolonging roof life and avoiding tear offs: Building owners can say goodbye to costly tear offs and disruptions. A durable coating not only extends the lifespan of the roof but also eliminates the need for messy and expensive tear off procedures.

  1. Energy savings, enhanced comfort: Help building owners choose reflective coatings to keep the building cooler. By reducing roof temperatures, they’ll cut down on energy consumption and costs, providing both comfort and savings.
