Falls are one of the most common injuries for a roofer. In fact, over half of roofing fatalities occur because of injuries caused by falls. With that in mind, the Western States Roofing Contractors Association (WSRCA) is hosting an event all about educating members on protecting themselves from falls. Join them this June 22-23 in Norco, California to get thoroughly trained on the foundation of fall protection awareness. And the best part is, WSRCA members and their crews can attend for free!
David Everitt and Miguel Gandarilla from Guardian Fall Protection will provide all participants with training for the event. Guardian Fall Protection offers simplified height safety products, site services and training resources for the construction industry. They will help you learn about fall hazards, OSHA rules for fall protection and other best fall safety practices. You’ll learn everything about proper equipment standards and there will even be a live drop demonstration.
Sessions start at 9:00 a.m. and finish at 10:30 a.m. and will be available in English on the June 22 and in Spanish on June 23. And if you’re not able to attend, more sessions will be added if they are in high demand. By the end of the session, everyone will receive an FPA certificate card.
