RCS Influencers Seth and Ashley Pietsch say adopting technology is all about making their jobs and the jobs of their employees easier.

Megan Ellsworth: Hi there. My name is Megan Ellsworth here at RoofersCoffeeShop.com. And I am back again for June's influencer topic with Ashley and Seth Pietsch from Integrity Insurance. Hey guys, how are you? 

Ashley Pietsch: Good. Thank you. 

Seth Pietsch: Great. Thanks for having us. 

Megan Ellsworth: Yeah, glad to have you here. This month's topic is what makes you try new technology. So let us know, guys. What makes you try new tech? 

Seth Pietsch: Well, one thing that we definitely are all looking for is ease of doing business and ways to have your business run more smoothly depending on what it is. So we're always looking for new ways to help us as far as operating more efficiently and just make it easy on everybody. 

And there's a lot of new technology coming out and depending on what industry, it's all industries have new technology that they're trying and experimenting with. And going to the big trade shows and everything and exhibits and seeing all the new stuff that's going on out there, that's a really good way to kind of get an idea of what new methods and procedures are come out into the market. And we're always looking for ways to make our jobs easier. I'm sure that most businesses are doing the same. 

Megan Ellsworth: For sure, for sure. Are there any new, like CRMs or technologies that you've adopted maybe since COVID? 

Seth Pietsch: Well, definitely on Zoom calls and doing meetings and things, you definitely have to have a way to interact with people, even if you don't get to do it in-person as much as we would like. So having everything change now, doing virtual meetings and everything else, that's definitely been an adjustment, I think for everybody, but at least it's still a way to be able to connect and see people's faces and stuff like that even if you're not being able to actually do it in person, which hopefully we're able to have in-person meetings a lot more frequently soon. And I think we're all looking for that more. 

Megan Ellsworth: Precisely. Excellent. Well, do you have any other words of wisdom for contractors looking to try new technology? 

Seth Pietsch: Well, I think you just need to continue to look for ways to really help your business operations out. And technology's a good thing and we should embrace it when it makes sense and not everything's going to work, but continue to look for ways to help  your business operate more efficiently, because if you're not looking for new advanced ways then somebody else will. And from a company competition level, it's always good to keep up with the times.
