Keep it simple – Keep it real

Ridgepro - Keep it simple - Keep it real
June 15, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.

By The RIDGEPRO.

Avoid workplace frustration by remembering that complexity doesn’t necessarily improve every situation.

Life’s complicated these days. Our cars tell us where to go; our mobile phones remind us to take out the trash; the coffee maker lets us know it’s time to order more coffee beans. Even the refrigerator can inventory its contents, notice that we’re low on milk and put it on the shopping list. It’s clear that technology has become an essential part of our lives. We’ve come to depend on it and, actually, that’s not a bad thing.

However, did you ever invest good money in a tool, appliance or kids’ toy that turned out to be a lot more complicated to put together or use than advertised? Many of us can relate Christmas Eve at midnight stories of trying to assemble a highly desired toy or robot only to push the ON button and experience only SILENCE. Thats a recipe for frustration. Complexity doesn’t necessarily improve every situation.

We can do better

Certainly, that’s not the way we want to run our businesses where efficiency needs to be at the top of the chart every single day. A gadget that has too many assembly steps or too many buttons to push is not very useful at the height of the roofing season when every hour of daylight counts. A simple tool has been described as one that is hard to build but easy to use. In other words, simplicity isn’t simple to achieve.

At The RIDGEPRO® we live by simple. When you’re preparing to ascend a roof, the last thing you need is a time consuming gadget with too many places to make a mistake. What you need is a well made, well engineered product, that won’t let you down. The RIDGEPRO® is made in the USA from solid, aircraft-grade aluminum (6061-T6) with stainless steel shackle and clevis pin. Featuring an easy-to-read, etched  pitch grid, you can quickly set the pitch so that the product’s engineered arch straddles the roof peak securely. The RIDGEPRO® meets ANSI/ASSP standards Z359.18-2017 and complies with OSHA rule 1926.502d(15).

Create a simple routine

Once at the worksite but before you climb, remember that simplicity is also a state of mind. As you approach each day’s job, put on all your safety gear, clear your mind with a deep breath, set The RIDGEPRO®, then just Roll It, Flip It and Depend On it.

About The RIDGEPRO®

The RIDGEPRO is the brainchild of Strawder Family Innovations, LLC, a multi-generational roofing team. Roofers constantly experience “close calls” and this device will surely do something to eliminate them.

The RIDGEPRO was field tested for two years before entering the marketplace. The product’s quality was also verified by a professional testing organization. Quality and safety are important to the company, so they manufacture the product in the U.S. from high-quality, aircraft-grade aluminum.
