We wanted to know how our industry is giving back this holiday season, so we asked you in our forum: What are your company and personal plans for giving back this holiday season?
The roofing industry has a big heart, and we love sharing those stories of giving in our Caught Doing Good section of the website. Today we are featuring Kalkreuth Roofing who shared with us in the forum what they are doing for the 2020 holiday season.
Cathy Forsyth shared, “Last week Kalkreuth Roofing & Sheet Metal donated books, puzzles, and gift cards for 50 boys and girls through the Catholic Charities of West Virginia. In addition, Friday, December 11, we donated Toys-for-Tots to the local Salvation Army as well as giving gifts to 10 boys ages 12 and under at the St. John's Home for Children in Wheeling, West Virginia. Finally, our office in Frederick, Maryland supported their local chapter of ‘Sleep in Heavenly Peace’ by building, setting up and providing bunk beds for children who otherwise wouldn't have a bed to sleep in or a place to sleep. We are proud to support our local communities. Happy Holidays.”
Montana Johnston shared the following information and photos:
The photo of the guys in front of the KRSM logo shows Austin Lynch, Ernie Giancola, James Arrington, and Zach Anderson, who are all part of our team in Maryland. They recently helped support the MD-Frederick Chapter of "Sleep in Heavenly Peace," which is a charity that helps provide bunk beds for children who otherwise don't have a place to sleep. They worked alongside others in their community and spent the day manufacturing and setting up the bunk beds. Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal also donated a 40 foot container to house the tools and other materials needed to build the beds.
The photo featuring the presents in front of the tree shows John Kalkreuth, Cathy Forsyth, Eleni Voyiatt, and Natalie Arnold last Friday with all the presents that made their way to the Catholic Charities West Virginia from our corporate headquarters in Wheeling, West Virginia. We placed an angel tree in the lobby and every single tag ended up being taken. Everyone at KRSM really stepped up to help the community and for that, we are so proud!
Do you know of someone in the industry who is ‘doing good deeds’ in their community? Help us catch them at it. Send news and information to info@rooferscoffeeshop.com.
