D&I council

JM’s D&I Council is comprised of employees from the company’s locations in North America and Europe. The Council meets regularly and works to promote and foster an environment of inclusion in many ways. They advocate for inclusivity through content, engagement, discussion, understanding, allyship and training. The Council encourages all employees to take part in celebrating the value of D&I.

Celebrating diversity

In February 2021, JM’s D&I Council hosted a virtual event in celebration of Black History Month. The event featured a conversation about African Americans in STEM careers. Discussion was led by African American team members from across the country. Throughout the year, JM recognizes more than two dozen D&I-focused recognition days, weeks and months.

Women leading the industry

In recent years, women at JM have received recognition both locally and nationally for the outstanding work they have done.

In 2020, Building Insulation Innovation and Commercialization Manager Kathy Miks, Insulation Systems Associate Product Manager Cassie Todtenhagen, and Insulation Systems Product Engineer Chanel Charbonneau were interviewed by Spray Foam Magazine. They shared insights about JM’s innovation strategy, provided tips to women in the manufacturing industry and emphasized the important role women play as contributors to successful and innovative teams.
