Since 1961, MFM Building Product (MFM) has been a leading manufacturer of self-adhering membranes and continues to provide the industry with high-quality products, SubSeal-60 being one of them! SubSeal-60 is a self-adhering waterproofing membrane designed for various applications, including roofs and decks. It is a 60-mil prefabricated sheet-type membrane known for its versatility and durability in providing protection against water infiltration.
As a recognized innovator in the industry, MFM continues to provide contractors with value-based waterproofing systems that are backed with years of research, experience and dedication to professionals in the waterproofing industry. This innovative product is a durable, multi-layered polymer film coated with specialized rubber asphalt. During installation, a release liner safeguards the asphalt and is removed as the membrane gets installed. In addition, the mastic selvedge on both edges allows for a reliable seal.
SubSeal-60 is a highly versatile product. Some of its intended uses include:
SubSeal-60 works well with a diverse range of clean and dry surfaces, such as metal, wood vinyl and masonry. Its self-sealing feature serves as an effective barrier to prevent water penetration. With a broad temperature range, this special waterproofing adhesive can even be installed in cold weather, meaning more jobs in the winter months!
And the best part of the installation process? All you need is a sharp utility knife and a hand roller. No tar, glues or fasteners required! Just measure the desired length and take off the release liner while you roll the product into place. The hand roller ensures the membrane firmly bonds to the substrate.
