Dan’s passing came as a complete shock. He was to turn 62 on July 25.
Dan was the territory sales manager for the Inland Empire, Orange County, San Diego, and Las Vegas territories. Dan joined Roofmaster in May of 2013 following stints at GAF, Tarco, Burbank Roofing Supply, and RSG. He was actively involved in the local roofing contractor associations, including as a board member of the SDRCA where he championed safety measures for all roofers.
Dan leaves behind his wife, Peggy, two adult sons David and Chris, and three beloved dogs, including Dray who was a frequent visitor to Roofmaster.
Dan would have had his Dodgers jersey on to celebrate this summer’s Opening Day.
Dan will be cremated and ashes spread in Sierra Madre and along the Central Coast of California. His family asks that any condolence cards be sent to Roofmaster where they will be forwarded on. Donations may be made in Dan's name to the American Heart Association. There are no services planned at this time.
From RCA Southern California Executive Director Julie Barajas:
I had the pleasure of working with Dan during my tenure with the Roofing Contractors Association of California, as he provided our annual ladder safety update at the RCAC Safety Days at South Coast Shingle in Long Beach. We also worked closely together on the San Diego association’s scholarship program. He was really excited to develop the program and I was excited to be of help. I will always remember Dan as being kindhearted and enthusiastic. He was passionate about safety and the roofing industry and he always wanted to be of help to everyone. He will be greatly missed. We send our deepest condolences to Dan’s family, colleagues, and friends during this time.
