NRCA has been working with roofing industry stakeholders and the CPWR-The Center for Construction Research and Training to develop and pilot a Safety Climate Assessment Tool for Small Contractors (S-CATsc).
If your company employs less than 50 people, we are asking you to take the confidential (S-CATsc) assessment. The assessment only will take about 10 minutes to complete, and you won't be asked to provide your name, company name or any personal identifiers. All responses will be kept confidential and only used in aggregate form.
Industry studies have found a positive connection between a company's safety climate and its safety record, ability to attract and retain workers, and ability to win work. However, for smaller companies, the information and resources needed to help employers strengthen their job-site safety climates may not be readily available. We want to change that.
The pilot project will help ensure the assessment tool works for employers with 50 or fewer employees while allowing us to collect information we can use to identify and develop materials and resources contractors such as you can use to strengthen their safety climates. Following this pilot project, the assessment tool will be made available in print and online so small contractors in the roofing industry can use it to assess their own safety climates, identify where they need help and use the resources we develop to strengthen their businesses.
Please take a few minutes now to complete the survey by clicking here. The survey will close Jan. 20, 2018.
