IMGING is the Future of Drone Roof Inspection

IMGING
June 29, 2017 at 10:05 a.m.

IMGING uses patented flight controls and DJI® drones to deliver extremely detailed roof inspection reports.

The future is looking brighter than ever for contractors who want to use drones to inspect roofs. Loveland Innovations, a Utah-based maker of drone solutions, recently introduced IMGING™ to the industry. IMGING is a drone inspection solution designed specifically for roof inspections.

IMGING goes beyond just the drone and consists of web- and tablet-based applications that automate flight for DJI drones. Developed with input from a pool of beta testers, IMGING is already giving contractors the ability to conduct safe and extremely detailed drone-based roof inspections in as little as 10 minutes per property, all without manually flying the drone.

“Our revolutionary autonomous drone inspection solution takes an off-the-shelf DJI drone and turns it into a vital tool that gives contractors the ability to maximize their time by capturing detailed imagery across every square inch of a roof,” said Jim Loveland, CEO and founder of Loveland Innovations.

The high-resolution images are then fed into the IMGING cloud where they are processed into 3D models and can be used by inspectors to create custom inspection reports. Using IMGING, roofing contractors can see every inch of a roof in incredible detail to produce more accurate estimates in less time.

What level of detail do the images and report provide? CTO Leif Larson explains, “In one of our initial beta flights of a house we were amazed at the level of detail. We were looking through the image report and could clearly identify granular loss to worn asphalt shingles, wind damage from a recent storm and even the smallest hail hits. It’s the sort of detail you have to see to believe.”

IMGING also makes contractors and building inspectors safer by allowing them to do their job without having to climb a roof. “IMGING is intuitive, easy and incredibly fast to use, but above all, it’s safe,” said Jim Kowalski, Owner of Kowalski Construction, Inc. “It’s like we’re right there on the roof inspecting everything, but from the safety of the ground.”

IMGING is priced at $45 per completed scan. For more information, visit www.lovelandinnovations.com .
