The International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) recently hired Kristen Kennedy as their director of education. Kennedy began her new career on December 16, 2020, and will work with IIBEC’s Education Committee. Prior to joining IIBEC, Kennedy was the associate executive director at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), where she worked with the graduate medical education community to educate them on ACGME program requirements. Additionally, she collaborated with physician committee members to ensure residency programs adhered to the program requirements set forth by the committee.
During her tenure at the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP), Kennedy successfully developed an education department and worked with physician stakeholders to create education for the emergency medicine community. She also collaborated with subject matter experts in the development of continuing education.
Kennedy earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Illinois State University, a master’s degree in business and marketing education from North Carolina State University, and a second master’s degree in educational leadership from the American College of Education.
Kennedy resides in Chicago, Illinois, with her husband Eric, twin daughters Gabi and Nora, and dog Chewy. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
