How to Perfectly Match Tile to the Roof

All Points Tile identification

By Cass Jacoby.

Discovering hard-to-find tiles or a perfect color match for replacing a tile roof isn’t as impossible as it seems when you have All Points in your corner.

When it comes to a broken tile on the roof, it can be tricky to source hard-to-find tiles. Often on a roof made of a thousand pieces of tile, there are only a few broken tiles, and finding the perfect tile to match can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack. Usually, the homeowner has either made the choice years ago or is trying to match a tile choice the previous owners made. And no one wants to completely replace a roof that can be easily repaired.

Thankfully, All Points is driven to provide local, national and international customers with the ability to identify, procure, color-match, store and deliver tiles. Specializing in procuring hard-to-find roofing tiles and slate, and equipped with a knowledgeable staff well studied in identifying all different types of tiles, All Points is sure to help you find what you are looking for.

From concrete to clay and everything in between, specialists at All Points can accurately name any tile in question, making the process of matching and finding tiles a simpler task than replacing the entire roof.

All Points online form makes it easy to contact them for help. All you need to do is fill out your name, email, phone number and send in up to six photos of the tile you are trying to identify.

Tile dimensions are critical when sending inquiries through an online identification, so be sure to follow the tile photo examples and provide photos that show measurements of the length and width of the tile. An ideal photo will feature a measuring tape in the frame.

In the event they do not have a suitable color available, All Points offers Custom Glazing Services to help return a roof to perfectly match the color on the roof. Send in a sample of the tile and the experts at All Points will color match what is on the roof, making replacing faded tile easy because you can be certain they will have the closest color match possible.

Plus, the process comes with a ten-year guarantee on the glazing of the tile. All Points works in tandem with industry professionals to corroborate that the quality of your tile glaze matches your original tile as closely as possible and by following a diligent four step process:

1- First, they clean the tile with RTC 5000 Roof Tile Cleaner, which will provide a deep clean without damaging the roof tiles.

2 - Then, All Points experts apply their Hydro-Bond primer followed by two base coats of Hydro-Sheen in your matched color.

3 - Finally, a clear coat of Hydro-shield is applied to your tile to protect it from weather.

4 - If certain tile requires flashing or has multiple colors, All Points can still provide their glazing material with the same attention to detail. The flashing will simply occur between the two base coats of color-matched Hydro-Sheen and the final coat of Hydro-Sheild. To assist in multi-colored roofs, separate Hydro-Sheen coats are used.

Rather than reroofing or attempting to match a very specific piece of tile to the roof on your own, All Points Tile makes it easy to simply replace the few bits of damaged tile.
