Polyglass conducted a time study to show the labor benefits of their ADESO self-adhered technology, displaying the significant benefits of the product for contractors and their teams. Watch these time-trial videos for insight on how their self-adhered technology is proven to provide a safer and cleaner installation in addition to being cost-effective and efficient.
Throughout the four videos, roofing teams apply a roofing system to a 1,000-square-foot panel in identical conditions using either a full or hybrid self-adhered system. Each video shows the step-by-step process for roofing installation with comparisons of the results, finding the difference in labor costs and install times with each product.
In this time-trial, ADESO self-adhered technology installation time is compared to the installation time of a 2-ply torch-applied roofing system. The trial found that the ADESO self-adhered system could be installed in two hours less time than the torch-applied system. The video calculates the product as 50% labor saving, even with one less installer needed to apply the product. Watch the video to see for yourself how ADESO self-adhered technology stacks up against FASTLap 2-ply torch-applied membrane:
In this time-trial, FASTLAp 2-ply torch-applied membrane is compared to a hybrid application of the ADESO self-adhered underlayment followed by the torch-applied Stick 1 Torch 1 roofing system. Through this trial, they found that the hybrid application of ADESO self-adhered membrane saves the crew one hour and ten minutes of time, yielding 30% labor time savings. Watch how the ADESO self-adhered underlayment shaved time off of the install process in this video:
In this third time-trial video, Polyglass compared its hybrid Stick 1 Torch 1 application against a 2-ply ADESO self-adhered roofing system, finding that both systems saved time with FASTLap. The fully self-adhered system, however, saved 47 minutes on install time despite requiring one less crew member. Watch the efficiency the ADESO product adds in this video:
The final time trial compares the 2-ply torch-applied system with the Polyglass Velociflex roofing system. The Velociflex system is resistant to high winds and combines mechanical fastening and torch application. Ultimately, the trial found the Velociflex system saved 30% on labor costs. Watch the install process:
The time-trials demonstrate that when it comes to choosing your roofing materials you should consider Polyglass. It has been proven that the ADESO self-adhered system, whether it is in a hybrid system or a full SA System, saved time in installation and, in the long–run, labor cost. Further, these videos demonstrate how Polyglass roofing systems are high quality, durable and long-lasting with superior weathering performance.
