Hilary Morgan, senior associate at Trent Cotney P.A., was recently selected as a finalist in the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Businesswoman of the Year. As a finalist, Hilary ranks among the most successful and impactful business women in the community.
Hilary has contributed to the rapid growth of her company through outreach to the construction industry and by training new staff members how to network and establish client relationships. She is actively involved in the construction industry through various groups, such as the ABC NexGen Class of 2017, an eight-month program consisting of leadership training events for construction industry professionals. This fall, she will act as chair of the upcoming NexGen class. She is also a national officer for National Women in Roofing and is chair of the governance committee for that organization.
Hilary grew up in Stuart, Florida where her father worked as a contractor and landscape architect. For over 100 years, her family operated a ladder manufacturing company, Flint Ladders. Her family ties to the construction industry continue as her sister is a civil engineer and her father-in-law operates a contracting company. Prior to joining Trent Cotney P.A., Hilary practiced law as a construction litigation associate and now continues to build upon her familiarity with the Florida construction industry.
In her spare time, Hilary enjoys spending time with her husband and their golden retriever puppy, Brewster. She also enjoys staying active through swimming and being on the beautiful Florida waters, whether she is relaxing on the beach, paddle boarding, or boating.
