Giving contractors the resources they need

TRA Giving contractors the resources they need
October 26, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.

By Emma Peterson.

TRA Snow and Sun’s new products and resources help contractors provide home and building owners with strong, safe snow solutions!

While at the 2024 Western Roofing Expo (WRE), The Coffee Shops™ got the chance to chat with our friends Ben Anderson and Mindy Dahlquist from TRA Snow and Sun! Ben, who works in TRA’s operations sector, shared that they saw record attendance on the first day of the show. Mindy, the business development manager at TRA, added, “We were very impressed with the amount of people that we talked to, and I feel like there's been some great interactions going on on the floor.” One of the big focuses TRA has at these types of events is education. They want to be able to interact with the contractors in the field installing their products, and those who don’t yet know about their products.

This year, they were especially excited to share about two new additions to their suite of products and resources. The first is a new product, the Rafter Mount. Ben explained, “We've always offered some deck mount solutions that go into rafter structural applications, but those things can be expensive. Everybody is worried about cost right now. So we've done some things to try and cut the cost but keep strength.” This product is smaller tubing, making it a bit cheaper than what people are used to, but still adds structural strength to a snow retention system.

The second thing they shared was their new educational tool — video brochures! Mindy explained, “These are beautiful educational tools that contractors are able to take for free from us and utilize. They show educational videos as you flip through each tab, and people understand what snow retention is, why it's necessary and the difference between different types of products.” This not only helps contractors' understanding, but also their sales as they can use these to help homeowners understand the importance of investing in snow guards.

Even if you didn’t get the chance to stop by TRA’s booth at WRE, you can still access this amazing resource! Find out more about this and the new Rafter Mount product on TRA’s website, trasnowandsun.com. You can also watch the entire interview from WRE below or on the RoofersCoffeeShop® YouTube channel
