Give First Responders $250 Compliments of SRS Distribution

The “One Family, One Fight” promotion allows contractors to offer a $250 Amazon gift card to their first responder customers.  

In a recent RoofersCoffeeShop® (RCS) podcast, Dan Tinker, CEO of SRS Distribution, joined Heidi to talk about their first responder promotion that runs through the end of the year. He explained that when COVID-19 first hit, SRS team members developed the One Family, One Fight theme as a rallying cry to motivate the team that they are going to do whatever it takes to get through this.  

Dan shared that after business was opened back up, they knew they wanted to help contractors do something for first responders. “We really felt like we needed to give back to frontline people,” said Dan. “We do a lot for our contractors, but we really needed to give our contractors something to give back to the homeowners that are in these [first responder] categories.” 

The promotion is open to any contractor who is purchasing supplies from SRS Distribution. “Every one of our 60,000 contractors that buy from SRS can offer this promotion to any homeowner for remodeling, reroofing, new construction work,” explained Dan. “It offers up to a $250 Amazon gift card for anyone that's in the police, fire, or medical first responder community. As long as their contractor is purchasing the material from SRS up to $2,500 or more, they get $250.” 

It doesn’t cost contractors any money to offer the promotion, they just have to tell the homeowners about it and direct them to the SRS website to sign up for the gift card. Dan shared that some contractors are even offering their own promotions in addition to the gift card.  

“These people really are unsung heroes that in a lot of cases are underpaid and don't have the resources to get their homes improved in this timeframe where most of us are back working from home, but these people are out on the front lines protecting us all,” said Dan. “It was important for us to do something and do it right away and make it monetary and real and tangible; and we've had over a thousand homeowners sign up through the site.”
