Get what you want. As a consumer, we should be able to get the products we want when we want them but too often that is not the case. Shelf space programs have a life of their own. But, as a roofing contractor, it is up to you to work with your distributors to stock the shelves with what you need to make your business amazing.
It seems to be more common now that inventories are being cut and often lower quality brands are on the shelves. A good supplier partner should help you build your business success with the right products for quality installations.
How do contractors deal with this problem?
Working with your supplier and stressing the need for higher quality products that fit your expectations is a great way to start. Suppliers want to work with you and this is the opportunity to give them a glimpse of your business. It is a win-win. So, ask for a better variety of products by letting your suppliers know the brands you prefer.
