GCP Applied Technologies Partners with Cambridge Community Center for GivingTuesday 2020

Support the Cambridge Community Center on #GivingTuesday & throughout December, GCP  matching donations up to $5,000

Cambridge-based GCP Applied Technologies (NYSE:GCP), a leading global provider of construction products technologies, is proud to announce that they are a funding partner for the Cambridge Community Center this holiday season. GCP joins MIT as the Cambridge Community Center’s leading funding partners for GivingTuesday and the entire month of December, with each organization matching donations up to $5000, in effect tripling donations made to the nonprofit organization.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been serving children, youth and families throughout Cambridge for over 90 years, the Cambridge Community Center (CCC), will kick-off their holiday campaign on #GivingTuesday, a global giving day on December 1, 2020. Each week in December, the CCC will provide a look inside their four major programs, all of which have found a way to not only adapt, but thrive despite the COVID-19 pandemic. GCP has supported the CCC for over 15 years. “The continued support that we have received from GCP Applied Technologies has allowed us to bring joy to the countless children and families that we have served over the years,” said Cambridge Community Center’s Executive Director Darrin Korte. GCP has stepped up in a major way since the start of the pandemic, supporting our evolving work and helping us ensure that our community members have what they need to make ends meet.” 

From sponsoring their holiday parties, supporting the children served in the afterschool programming, to providing an annual visit from Santa, complete with treats and presents donated by GCP’s employees, the company is proud to once again support the Cambridge Community Center. “We are very happy to be continuing and adapting our support of the CCC this year,” said GCP Chief Human Resources Officer Kevin Holland. “Our Annual Giving Tree is a staple of the holiday season at GCP. Fulfilling the kids’ wish lists that the Center supports has become a part of many of our employees personal holiday traditions. We are pleased that we can adapt our support to assist the timely needs of the CCC.”
