GAF has received its first-ever Emmy® Award! Presented by the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the GAF “Join the Crew” was the winner in the public service category. Executive Producer John Rathjen, and Editor/Videographer, Marcus Thompson were on hand to accept the award. The gala event took place on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square.
“It is an honor to have received the most coveted award within the broadcast industry. This tremendous accomplishment is a testament to all the hard-work and passion that the Media Production team exhibits on a daily basis,” stated John Rathjen, GAF Director of Media Production
The competition in this category was stiff, as “Join the Crew” was nominated alongside productions by PBS, Discovery Family Channel, and Univision.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is the preeminent membership organization serving all media professionals in the television industry, and its New York chapter represents the largest media market in the world. The National Academy rewards creativity and artistic and technical excellence through the renowned Emmy Award, the most prestigious honor and most coveted peer-recognition symbol of distinction in television.
