GAF, a Standard Industries company and North America’s largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, announced today that it has begun hiring for key leadership positions to head up its new shingle plant in Newton, Kansas. Current positions include plant manager, engineering manager, maintenance manager and finance manager. These roles will support the construction, commissioning and operations of the greenfield plant and play a role in the hiring of plant staff. Following the hiring of these initial leadership positions, GAF will be hiring for salaried and hourly positions.
Putting more than a century of shingle manufacturing expertise to work, GAF will build a world-class shingle manufacturing facility in Newton, bringing more than 130 new manufacturing jobs spanning management, engineering and operations to the area, with a focus on continuous process manufacturing.
