FRSA Convention & Expo a Huge Success!

JUL - IndNews - FRSA Convention A Success
July 27, 2018 at 11:20 a.m.

The 96th Annual FRSA Convention and the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Expo was a huge success on all levels!

The convention and expo had 3,477 people registered for the event, selling out the host hotel two months early. Other milestones included 374 booths taken by 217 exhibiting companies, 82 sponsored events, 214 items donated and $27,000 raised at the Silent Auction? All sports tournaments sold out, and $9,300 raised for the Charity of Choice, the Sarcoma Foundation of America!

They are already working on plans for 2019 and would appreciate your feedback. Below are the links for the 2018 event surveys. The deadline to respond is August 17th.

Exhibitor Survey

If you missed the convention and expo or didn't attend the S.T.A.R. Awards, here's just a portion of what you missed! New pictures are being posted to FRSA's Facebook page every few days. To view them, visit and like us at www.facebook.com/flroof.

#SorryCharlie Update

In case you missed it - FRSA President Charlie Kennedy and the entire Executive Committee ended up in the dunk tank after losing the #SorryCharlie membership challenge. FRSA Director of Member Services, Maria Armas, broke the good news to Charlie, letting him know that she not only succeeded in surpassing the 800-member company challenge he issued to Membership chair Phillip Lane, but that they exceeded that number and had 817 member companies signed up going into the convention! The Executive Committee members were wonderful sports and allowed Convention attendees to purchase balls for a chance to dunk them in the dunk tank, helping to raise money for the Charity of Choice.
