FlashCo Expands into PDVF Edge Metal

FlashCo Live at WRE
January 5, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.

By Cass Jacoby.

FlashCo joins us on the RoofersCoffeeShop® soundstage at WRE to talk about the advantages that come with being able to install something onto the roof right away.

Karen L. Edwards invites FlashCo’s Josh Chester and Rob Drew to the RoofersCoffeeShop soundstage for a LIVE! interview at the Western States Roofing Contractor Association (WSRCA)’s 2022 Western Roofing Expo!

Flashco is excited to launch their new PVDF Edge Metal line as they expand their Edge Metal Systems.

“It's really a natural extension of the coated metal... Just doing it on the painted side,” says Rob. There's ES-1, and there's non-ES-1 as well. So for places that don't need ES-1 certified, we have the full range to handle them as well.

FlashCo PDVF edge metal profiles will include drip edge, gravel stop and sloped and flat coping in 25 different colors. These products are manufactured using 24-gauge, G90 galvanized steel sheet that is painted with Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000® resins. Additionally, FlashCo will offer 24-gauge galvanized metal cleats as an option for all painted edge metal profiles.

“We're real excited to launch our PVDF Edge Metal Systems here at the Western Expo. ES-1 Certified Edge Metal Systems. We got Drip Edge Gravel Stop, coping caps. We're just real excited about this,” says Josh. “We have 25 different colors to offer diverse markets across the U.S. I really think FlashCo is positioned really well at this point to service from coast to coast with eight locations and a couple warehouses.”

With FlashCo’s extensive background in selling coated metal, they know how to effectively get the metal to the jobsite undamaged. Their strategically located plants allow them to deliver most jobs, letting them handle the metal from beginning to end in order to avoid damage.

“We're packing it, putting it on our trucks, and then taking it to the distributor or to the job site. We're handling it all the way. We don't have to go through a third-party shipper where these get damaged all the time. It's a real advantage,” says Rob. “It is a real advantage to be able to get something that you can put on the roof right away.”
