The Five Hottest Trends in Roofing Software

By FCS Control Roofing software programs incorporate some of the hottest technology trends on the market today. Technology is changing the way people live, work and play every day.  The use of smart phones, apps and software continue to redefine daily activities and productivity.  In fact, in roofing software there is a strong trend of incorporating main stream technology practices.  Every day technology practices that consumers are comfortable with are now a part of leading roofing software.

Here are 5 of the hottest mainstream practices that are now a part of today’s roofing software.

1.     Customer Portals. The use of portals is becoming a daily practice for health care information.  Consumers are able to access their health care information and visit with doctors.  The same is true for commercial roofing contractors.  They can offer portals for building owners to access their building information including the history of the roof while requesting or responding to emergency repairs and much more.

2.     Online Budgeting. The use of financial software is normal when working with banks along with home or business budgets.  Now commercial building owners can do the same thing online through customer portals.  Progressive inspection reports create strong budgeting opportunities that support on going communications between roofing contractors and building owners.

3.     Repair Tracking. Just like Fedex, contractors can provide building owners with easy tracking options for repair service.  From dispatch to final rooftop approval, customers know what is happening on the roof without being on the roof.

4.     Scheduling Boards. Drag and drop is a customer experience that is used every day in all types of software.  Now the drag and drop has made its way into the scheduling ability of roofing contractors.  Simply drag and drop the name of the roof technician into a calendar.  The action triggers communication for the roof technician and the building owner creating a great customer experience.

5.     Apps on the Roof. The use of mobile devices is changing everyone’s world.  On the roof, it means instant communication.  Photos, videos, audio and text document what is happening on the roof immediately to home base and in some cases to the building owner.  Using apps that document and communicate easily and quickly from the roof is a game changer for any roofing contractor.

Now is the time to demo roofing software!  Ask about these hot trends.  In fact, take the time to visit with the team at FCS during IRE at booth 2107 or schedule an online demo at www.fcscontrol.com.
