Equipter President Provides Hope in Light of Worldwide Epidemic - UPDATED 3-20-20

EQUIPTER PRESIDENT'S COMPANY STATEMENT ON COVID-19

UPDATE (3-20-20): Due to Pennsylvania Governor Wolf’s most recent mandate ordering the close of all non-life-sustaining businesses, leadership at Equipter and New Heights have declared manufacturing has ceased until further notice. Equipter Sales and Service representatives will still be available by phone to serve your needs and answer questions. You may still continue to place orders for any Equipter products, as we will resume manufacturing as soon as legally possible.

We thank everyone for your understanding. Updates will continue to be published here and on Equipter’s Facebook page. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Equipter Founder and President Aaron Beiler takes a moment to provide peace and confidence for the community, country, and world as a whole during the epidemic of COVID-19.

I'd like to take a moment during this challenging time just to say a few words.

I think back personally of [eleven] years ago. This was such an inspiration for me when [eleven] years ago there was an airplane that took off from an airport in New York. Sunny day, everything was normal. A short time after takeoff, the pilot suddenly realized that they had hit a flock of birds–a flock of geese–and they lost both of their engines. So very, very difficult situation. The pilot said his heart sank to the bottom of his stomach and he realized they were in serious trouble.

The first thing he did was he said he forced calm upon himself. He got laser-focused. And if you know the end of the story, they landed in the Hudson River, and there was a total victory–no casualties–and everything worked out very well considering it could have been a total calamity.

And so, I do believe the leadership that we have in this country and especially you roofers–you guys are hardworking guys–I've been there and done that, so I respect you highly for the way that you work hard and I do believe that the roofing industry, we will keep our heads up. We will go through this storm and we'll come out on the other side with a total victory.

We as a company, the Equipter–we are open for business. Manufacturing is moving ahead. Some of our office personnel is working from home. We've made some adjustments, but our telephones are open and feel free to call us, reach out to us. Our salespeople are available, and we are again weathering the storm and we're very optimistic. We had a very good year last year and the beginning of this year, very strong–strongest year that we've had up to date. And [we're] looking forward to coming through this cloudy time and seeing the sun shine once again.

So, keep your heads up. Stay optimistic. I'll look forward to hearing from you or look forward to seeing you at one of the expos in the near future.
