As everyone adjusts to the “new normal” caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, there are many changes to how people are conducting business and how they are learning from one another. Technology is allowing us to connect and communicate with others, conduct work meetings, and host conferences and trade shows. The roofing industry is also adapting and Western States Roofing Contractor Association (WSRCA) is hosting its first-ever Virtual Western Roofing Expo (VWRE), offering over 20 virtual and on-demand webinars.
On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., be sure to log in for “Roofing, Labor Shortage and Embracing Diversity, Technology and the Next Generation.” This session is being presented by Alison LaValley from National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and Heidi J. Ellsworth, HJE Consulting and RCS partner.
During their hour-long presentation, Alison and Heidi will provide viewers an update on the initiatives industry organizations are implementing to help solve the labor shortage in roofing with diversity, technology and research initiatives. They will also explore how roofing contractors are using these trends to create higher levels of professionalism and inclusion within their companies, thus attracting and retaining a stronger and more talented workforce. Participants will hear examples of current roofing initiatives being implemented by the NRCA Diversity and Inclusion committee, Roofing Alliance, National Women in Roofing (NWIR), and Roofing Technology Think Tank (RT3).
