A commercial delivery services property in Santa Ana, California needed a full roof and deck recondition. The property measures approximately 136,300 square feet. Areas that required roof repairs included parapets, flashings, front overhang, as well as exposed roof deck. The SureCoat Deck Saver System was selected by the owner and property management company for multiple reasons, including: its ability to remain flexible, its top-rated waterproofing technology that protects against ponding water, how quickly it can be cleaned and top-coated to keep the system functioning like new, and lastly because it can be repaired easily when adding or changing out roof mounted equipment.

The SureCoat Deck Saver System is ideal for existing decks requiring leak repairs, maintenance or complete waterproofing with slip resistance built in. It is a single component system that is easy to install and maintain.

The contractor cleaned and prepped the area to be repaired, then repaired cracks, tears, splits and voids in the roof surface. After that, the contractor applied pond filler to eight ponding areas to improve drainage, then applied SureCoat to drains, penetrations, ponds and waterways. After addressing the roof, the SureCoat Deck Saver system was used to repair the exposed roof deck, which was top coated with our Light Grey StrucSureCoat for a “like new” finish.

This deck restoration system is applied in multiple layers to provide a reinforced single-ply system that conforms to existing site conditions, while remaining flexible, which results in a fully adhered seamless deck.
