Duro-Last®, Inc. Recognizes Premier Metalworks, LLC with 2017 Metal Roof Award for The Potter’s House of North Dallas

The company was hired to coordinate the replacement of the roofing system at the front of the building because of their quality reputation and experience with tapered applications.

The Potter’s House of North Dallas is a nondenominational church located in Frisco, Texas. The pre-engineered steel structure features a standing seam metal roof with large tapered elements at the front and flat roofing on the back two-thirds. When leaks began to form in the aged roofing system, causing water to pool inside of the structure and interfere with weekly worship activities, church administration allocated funds for a complete reroof in an effort to deter prolonged maintenance and damage.

Because the structure is located adjacent to multiple large neighborhoods on Frisco’s main thoroughfare, it was important to church leaders that the finished product was not only functional, but aesthetically pleasing. Premier Metalworks, LLC, of Waco, Texas, was hired to coordinate the replacement of the roofing system at the front of the building because of their quality reputation and experience with tapered applications.

The Premier team utilized approximately 19,000 square feet of EXCEPTIONAL® Metals LokSeam® standing seam metal panels for their portion of the reroof project. They measured out the exact dimensions of the large radial features on the building and worked closely with EXCEPTIONAL Metals to ensure that the panels were manufactured to fit the structure precisely. Finally, careful installation of gutters and fascia along the perimeter gave the facility a polished finish.

“Working with Premier Metalworks has been great,” said Daniel Moody, Facilities Director at The Potter’s House of North Dallas. “From beginning to end they were responsive to our needs, walked us through each step of the process, and went above and beyond in their follow-up to make sure everything was performing as it should be. All of the staff and church members are thrilled with how everything turned out. The building looks beautiful, the tapered panels line up perfectly, and everything inside is dry and safe.”
