METALCON 2024, the largest international event in the metal construction industry, is happening October 30 to November 1 at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC)! The show is sponsored by a variety of industry players, including CIDAN Machinery Group, Sherwin-Williams METALVUE and Coil Coatings, ATAS International, Drexel Metals, Malco Tools, MetalForming and Sheffield Metals International.
Whether you’re a CEO or an installation crew member or anything between, this is a perfect opportunity to get out into the industry community and grow your metal knowledge at the same time. From education sessions to exploring the trade floor, there is no shortage of exciting activities to check out. And, if you’re on the trade floor, make sure to stop by and say hi to The Coffee Shops crew at booth #901 and also say hi to our friends from Exceptional Metals, Scope Technologies and GSSI at their booths! In addition to all of this happening, this year’s show features some special events and activities that you won’t want to miss!
Stop by this hands-on training area during expo hours in the Exhibit Hall! Visitors will get to see some interesting demonstrations and learn about using a variety of mockups and materials, which includes painted steel, aluminum, zinc and copper. The focus of this space is on enhancing the tool-skills of contractors and remodelers, enabling them to do the best, cleanest work on various metal roof systems. The training will be led by John Sheridan of Sheridan Metal Resources and offered in both English and Spanish!
Stop by this area to get the scoop from the Metal Construction Alliance (MCA) and the Metal Roofing Alliance members on industry best practices. This covers everything from installation of metal shingles, standing-seam roofing panels and retrofit systems to proper techniques for on-site roll forming and machine maintenance. Understanding these techniques and practices is a great way to boost your efficiency and highlight customer satisfaction.
This space is more than just an area, it is truly a show-within-a-show! Visit the Design District to learn how metal can fit into the most difficult architectural, structural, environmental and building performance challenges. If you’re looking for inspiration to use everything from insulated metal panes to new finishes and coatings, this is a can’t miss space!
Get out of the convention center and check out the metal industry in action with this walking tour of Atlanta! Led by Zeke Miller, president of MillerClapperton, a national fabricator and regional installer of architectural cladding systems, this tour takes you through downtown Atlanta’s Centennial Park District to view several high-profile metal panel projects. You’ll also get to make some non-metal related stops at places like the College Football Hall of Fame, the World of Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium.
This event is limited to 50 attendees, so make sure to pre-register for a spot today!
Over the course of the entire expo, companies will be showcasing their standout metal products at their booths! These will be incredible showcases of technologies and solutions and it is up to you to vote on your favorites for this award! The top three award-winning products are determined by the public via electronic voting pre-show and then by attendees, like you, on-site at METALCON. Don’t miss out on your chance to vote on some of the best products in the industry, like The Coffee Shops’ own MetalCast! Winners will be announced on October 31, at “The Deck” located inside the exhibit hall.
Speaking of The Deck, make sure to stop by and meet the team that is making the show happen! You can also win cash prizes, grab a beer, ask questions, network, provide feedback or just take a break and rest your feet for a bit. This is also the place to be to donate to METALCON’s local give back program, which, for this show, is benefiting Semper Fi & America’s Fund. This is an incredible non-profit organization dedicated to directing urgently needed resources and financial support to critically wounded, ill and injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces alongside their families.
You can also donate online today and automatically be entered to win a prize on site! And if you haven’t already, make sure you register for METALCON 2024!
