Don’t miss the 2024 Montana Roofing Association tradeshow

This year’s event will focus on showcasing the latest and greatest innovations from across the industry and their impact on the local Montana region. 

In an episode of the Roofing Road Trips® podcast, host Megan Ellsworth sat down with guests Jake Magalsky, Morgan Thiel and Austin Barnhardt to discuss the latest updates as they count down to the upcoming Montana Roofing Association (MRA) 2024 tradeshow. They shared insights into what attendees can expect to see at the show and what new trends and technologies are shaking up the Montana roofing industry.  

The roofing association from the Big Sky State is excited for the upcoming tradeshow, which will take place January 9-11, 2024 in Billings, Montana at the Northern Hotel. Jake, founder and owner of Ace Roofing and the president of the MRA, shared, “The trade show is always exciting because it's roofers from around the state coming together with vendors who have supported the association for many years... We get to see people that sometimes we don't see for a year at a time. It seems like there's a lot of time for conversation. It's an intimate setting, and so it's different than going to one of the big roofing expos, because you can really dive in and get your questions answered.” 

The tradeshow will be an opportunity for attendees to visit exhibitor booths, participate in training sessions and network with fellow Montana contractors and business owners. This year’s show will showcase trending innovations from across the industry. Austin, secretary of the MRA, shared that the show will focus on a dedication to the importance of roof safety, best business practices and finding solutions to the current labor crisis.  

He elaborated, “Hopefully it will show business owners how you can help grow your business, what the best ways are to maybe get new recruits into the roofing industry, and obviously safety is the number one aspect we all care about as a roofing contractor, is to make sure our crews get home safely at the end of the day. Those are the kinds of things that we're highlighting this year.” 

Morgan, MRA vice president, also shared that attendees at this year’s event will have the opportunity to hear from a lineup of inspirational speakers who will share speeches about topics that are relevant for anyone in the construction industry. “We're having Larry Oxenham with the American Society for Asset Protection come, and he has a really good seminar on how to protect yourself liability-wise, how to transfer assets and things like that,” she explained. She continued, “We're also having Troy Downing, who is the Montana Commissioner, come and speak at our lunch on Wednesday.”  

This year’s event will have it all – whether you’re in it for networking, training or product showcasing opportunities, there’s something for everyone!
