At the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association (FRSA) convention this past July, Heidi J. Ellsworth from RoofersCoffeeShop® sat down to chat with Geocel National Sales Manager, Jeff Hung, to discuss their product offerings and Geocel’s parent company, Sherwin-Williams.
“Geocel plays in the sealant and roof coatings market for the roofing industry,” said Jeff, “We offer a wide range of technologies of sealant and patch and repair for roofing, siding, windows and doors. Some of our offerings are solvent based, polyurethane and also some hybrid technologies as well.”
Jeff also discussed the product offerings of other sealant brands under the Sherwin-Williams umbrella, Kool Seal and Uniflex. He explained that, while Uniflex offers mostly fluid-applied systems for commercial projects, Kool Seal and Geocel offer solutions for both residential and commercial sealant work, and in all, there is a product out there for everyone across the three brands.
When asked by Heidi what roofing trends he may be seeing across the industry or products coming out from any of the brands, Jeff replied, “It continues to amaze me, the opportunities in the roof coatings side of the business. That’s one side of the business that is one of the fastest growing segments, alongside metal.”
Geocel offers an array of roof coatings products, such as their silicone and acrylic coatings. In particular, they offer a variety of high-quality patch and repair products designed to meet an array of needs. “We have a wide range of patch and repair products, even some unique ones,” Jeff elaborated, “we definitely encourage everybody to come and seek us out to ask about the unique patch and repair products that we offer that can work under water.”
