MFM Building Products’ Wind & Water Seal™ is a 40-mil underlayment that is composed of a non-slip, cool white/gray polymer film laminated to a high-temperature rubberized asphalt adhesive that prevents damage from wind-driven rain. This underlayment is ideal for secondary water resistance and can be used as a flashing membrane around exterior penetrations like vents and chimneys.
Designed to be used under any and all roofing materials, MFM Wind & Water Seal™ aggressively adheres to most dry substrates and self-seals around fasteners including nails, staples and screws. The high elongation and flexible nature of the underlayment accommodates expansion and contraction of the building structure.
Expect an easy installation with Wind & Water Seal™, as the non-slip surface includes overlap guide lines and a split release film for use in valley applications. The underlayment can be left exposed for up to 60 days, comes with a 10-year warranty, and is manufactured in the USA.
