Find the right products for any repair with this cutting-edge digital tool and bolster your reputation as a trusted professional in the field of roofing maintenance and repair.

Mule-Hide Products Co. Inc. stands as a trusted partner in low-slope roofing solutions, known for its premium-quality products that cater to the diverse needs of designers, contractors and building owners. With an unwavering commitment to sustainability and innovation, Mule-Hide has consistently delivered high-performance roofing products for various system applications.

Exemplifying their dedication to both convenience and efficacy, Mule-Hide Products has recently unveiled their latest offering, the Digital Maintenance and Repair Selection Tool. This online tool, accessible through the resources section of their company website, makes the process easier than ever when identifying the right maintenance and repair products for low-slope roofs.

Replacing the traditional hand-held slide chart that has served the industry for years, this digital tool simplifies the decision-making process for contractors and facility managers. By selecting the type of roofing system, which includes TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing and even metal, and specifying the issue or need to be addressed, users are swiftly presented with a range of appropriate product options and solutions.

To illustrate the tool’s functionality, we explored the various solutions to deal with a ponding water issue on two different roofing systems:

  1. Metal roofing system with ponding water issue: In this scenario, where ponding water is a concern on a metal roofing system, the tool recommends the installation of new metal panels as the solution. This targeted recommendation ensures that the issue is addressed effectively, minimizing potential damage and prolonging the roof’s lifespan.
  2. TPO roofing system with pondering water issue: In this scenario, the solution is not as straightforward, and the tool offers two distinct options.
    1. Option A: This solution requires the installation of new drains or scuppers, accompanied by the application of Mule-Hide TPO Membrane, requiring a heat gun, followed by a Mule-Hide TPO cut-edge sealant or water cut-off to properly seal the membrane. This comprehensive approach tackles the issue at its core, providing a durable and long-lasting fix.
    2. Option B: Alternatively, the tool suggests the utilization of Mule-Hide tapered insulation, complemented by applying a new TPO membrane and then sealing with either Mule-Hide TPO cut-edge sealant or water cut-off. This option offers flexibility, catering to varying project requirements while ensuring optimal performance.

By streamlining the selection process and providing tailored recommendations based on specific roofing systems and issues, the tool enhances efficiency on the job. Contractors can now make informed decisions swiftly, thereby optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime. Watch the video below to see how easy it is to get started!
