Make sure you’re in Dallas, Texas on February 4-6, 2020 for the International Roofing Expo (IRE). Sponsored by the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), this year's expo will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. For three days, roofing professionals will network, learn about new products and techniques, and attend special events.
Reid Ribble, NRCA CEO, urges people to attend, stating, “This is a single, most important event for roofing contractors to attend. Not only is it packed full with educational conferences and information for your business, but it’s also packed full on the exhibit floor where you can visit over 500 companies showing the latest equipment and materials that will make your business more profitable and better for your consumers. Make sure you’re here.”
This is the industry’s largest event! Join more than 14,000 roofing professionals from over 65 countries to learn about the best practices and latest technologies that will help improve your skills and help grow your business. There are over 44 educational sessions, totaling 66 hours of course selections ranging from workplace safety to green building, from money matters to legal and human resources, from leadership and management to sales and services, and more. With nearly 500 exhibiting companies, attendees will be able to explore thousands of products. There’s something for everyone at the IRE.
Attendees will make connections with: residential and commercial contractors, remodelers, distributors, estimators, specifiers, architects, engineers, guilders, and manufacturers. And for those coming a day early, join Rebuilding Together North Texas for the 11th annual community service day. You’ll be able to give back to the local community by helping repair and renovate homes of low-income homeowners in need.
You won’t want to miss the student competition. This is a hallmark event promoting careers in roofing industry management. This competition is based on a real-life project where the IRE is held— this year the Dallas Cowboys Training Facility. The five construction management school finalists will be competing and demonstrating their roofing knowledge, construction management skills, in addition to their presentation and time management skills. Students will participate in the competition, visit with Roofing Alliance members, see the trade show floor, and get exposure to the industry.
This year, hear from the first woman keynote speaker at the IRE, Charlotte Jones. As the Dallas Cowboys Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officers, Charlotte oversees business operations, strategies, and applications concerning the team’s brand, which is seen worldwide. She will discuss how she built the brand, her approach to fundraising, strategies for setting high expectations, new fan engagement initiatives, and innovations from the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
In addition to the impressive keynote speaker, there will be other special events throughout the expo. There’s a reception for first-time attendees, a welcome party, and the NRCA industry awards ceremony and cocktail reception. Be sure to attend “An Evening in the Lone Star State,” presented by NRCA ROOFPAC in partnership with National Women in Roofing. The evening is complete with a comedian that will keep you laughing all night, a live auction benefiting ROOFPAC, and an open bar and appetizers.
There are plenty of opportunities to hone your skills, learn new strategies, and discover ways to ensure future success. Exhibitor-presented seminars and the GAF education center will provide 45-minute sessions to get new information and in-depth analysis presented by the industry’s exhibitor community, in addition to sessions that will help you build your skills, think critically, and show you ways to work smarter. The exhibitor product clinics are opportunities to learn tips and tricks, and hear detailed instructions from key manufacturers through product, equipment, and material demonstrations. There will even be outdoor events complete with a crane demo, a roofing competition to build 8x12 decks, NRCA ProCertification exams, and the SRS extreme tailgate party.
The new Show Planner allows attendees to stay up-to-date on everything happening at the show. This digital brochure has everything you need to know about the show and fun things to do in Dallas. It provides an overview of the conference program, show floor activities, networking events, tips for first-time attendees, information on the NRCA ProCertification, new products available, and more!
