CTLGroup Promotes Giulia Alimonti, AIA, LEED AP to Principal Architect

The promotion and recent opening of a new office expands CTLGroup's New York presence.

CTLGroup, an internationally recognized engineering, architecture, and materials science consulting firm announced today that Giulia Alimonti, AIA, LEED AP has been promoted to Principal Architect. Alimonti launched CTLGroup’s office in New York City in January of 2021. Under her leadership, CTLGroup has successfully expanded its offerings throughout the New York metropolitan area, giving the established company the ability to connect clients seeking architectural, engineering and materials science consulting.

As Director of CTLGroup’s Architecture and Building Science Practice Group, Alimonti has over 20 years of consulting experience in forensic investigation, evaluation, condition assessment and repair design of a variety of building enclosure systems. A registered architect in New York, Texas, and Italy, she has led assignments ranging from pre-purchase assessments to capital programs, forensic investigations, rehabilitation initiatives and historic preservation programs, peer review of new construction and litigation support.

Alimonti is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the International Institute of Building Envelope consultants (IIBEC), the National Women in Roofing (NWiR) and Professional Women in Construction (PWC).  She also serves as Vice President for the International Institute of Building Envelope Consultants’ (IIBEC) New York Metro Chapter. Alimonti holds a Bachelor of Architecture in Architectural Technology from the University of Rome, Italy.

CTLGroup recently expanded into a new office space at the historic Hoover Building at 505 8th Avenue, in the heart of New York City’s Garment District. CTLGroup provides professional services under the trade name CTL Engineering & Architecture in New York.
