Seminar: The 5 Key Contract Provisions Needed to Defend Against OSHA Citations

This course is designed to educate attendees on the five most important contract provisions to have in your contracts for purposes of defending against OSHA citations. Topics include prime contract and subcontract provisions regarding safety, insurance requirements, injury and illness reporting, back charges for OSHA violations and indemnification. Attendees will also receive and learn about contract forms that can act as evidence of training.

The roofing industry in particular faces issues associated with prescription painkillers from HR and employment issues, to safety and OSHA hazards. This seminar helps roofers understand the issues from an employer standpoint and the importance of creating policies and procedures to address the crisis.

Seminar Description: This course is designed to teach attendees about the top five immigration issues affecting the construction industry. Attendees will learn about I-9 verification & audits, ICE audits, green cards, employment sponsorship and deportation defense.

Speaker bios:

As a Board-certified construction lawyer in Florida who is also licensed in Illinois, Tennessee, and Texas, Trent focuses his practice on all aspects of construction litigation and arbitration, including OSHA defense, lien law, bond law, and bid protests, as well as construction document review and drafting. He routinely represents general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, architects, engineers, developers, and others in the construction industry in a variety of matters.

Danielle joined Cotney Construction Law in 2018 and has over 20 years of experience as an attorney. Her practice encompasses all areas of construction law including construction defect litigation, lien law, bond law, building code violation defense, OSHA defense, construction license issues, and contract review and drafting. Danielle has been involved in disputes involving construction scheduling, insurance, claims avoidance, and other related matters.
