With three offices outside of the Tampa, Florida headquarters, Poplin joins Michael Litrenta who has been with the Carolina office since fall of 2019.
Ashlee B. Poplin joins Cotney Construction Law with a strong background in contract review & drafting, lien law, bond law, insurance related matters and civil litigation. She has been recognized for three consecutive years (2018-2020) as a Rising Star for Civil Litigation by North Carolina Super Lawyers. Poplin graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in both Psychology and Political Science and a minor in Women’s Studies. She attended law school at Campbell University where she obtained her J.D. in 2013. Poplin is licensed in both North and South Carolina. She is a member of the North and South Carolina Bar Associations.
She joins Michael S. Litrenta who has brought extensive courtroom experience and trial advocacy to Cotney Construction Law. He began his legal career as a prosecutor practicing in the Florida Keys before transitioning into criminal defense. As his career progressed, Litrenta added to his litigation skills by practicing in administrative law, construction law, general and auto liability, immigration law, medical malpractice, and worker’s compensation. He has the skill set, experience, and personal knowledge to be an effective advocate for you in court. Barry University School of Law, J.D. Litrenta is licensed in Florida, Wisconsin, and North Carolina.
