One of the ways that RoofersCoffeeShop® connects the industry is through our influencer program. Under this program, a variety of industry experts and professionals share the insights and expertise that they have gained over their careers. The crew of RCS facilitates this conversation by giving the influencers a prompt every month. For the question in April, we wanted to hear some thoughts on using sustainabiltiy in contracting business and sales.
Here's what Patrick Cochran had to share:
As a contractor we are constantly removing and disposing of material. Having a relationship with a dumpster company that disposes that trash at a facility that recycles is a great way to limit landfill impact.
Also working on projects with ISO board, there are great options to repurpose this board. We have a relationship with multiple companies that will come to our job sites and remove the insulation board and then they work to repurpose it.
Having these plans and relationships in place is a great value to consumers. It allows them to see how responsible a company is in regard to the environmental impact and gives a new meaning to “construction debris,” no longer just being “construction waste.”
As for sales presentations, we discuss with our clients these relationships and the positive impacts they have. For some consumers these are great value adds and something they consider when making a decision.
