For a new DaVinci Roofscapes shake roof the Strait Line Roofing team installed on a home in Larkspur, Colorado, the project definitely leaned toward the “big” side of things. The massive roof had a 10/12 pitch with multiple angles and sides. The steep pitch of the slippery composite roofing tiles necessitated a proactive snow retention plan.

Using the free architectural services from Rocky Mountain Snow Guards, the team at Strait Line Roofing developed an aggressive plan to help protect the people, pets and property at the home. A total of 1,257 RG16 snow guards were installed in a soldier row pattern across key areas of the roofing surface.

For their outstanding work on the snow guard installation, Strait Line Roofing was named the runner up winner in the “Outstanding Residential Project Snow Retention System” category in the first-ever Show Us Our Snow Guards Contest sponsored by Rocky Mountain Snow Guards.
