CFS Roofing Foremen Earn ProCertification

Three CFS Foreman
July 4, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

Three CFS Roofing team members have shown their skills are watertight by each earning certification that separates them from others in the industry.

Ron Selway (Service Division), Alfredo Luevanos (Operations Division), and Arturo Santos (Slope Division) have earned a ProCertification Roofing Foreman designation from the National Roofing Contractors Association.

“ProCertification performance exams actually discriminate between installers who know how to do the work from those that do not, and everyone is tested equally to the same performance standards,” says John Schehl, Vice President of Certification and International Engagement at NRCA. “As for ProCertified Roofing Foreman, they must pass a rigorous computer-based exam to earn his or her certification. ... When the ProCertification committee built the ProCertified Foreman certification, it determined four domains, or pillars, of knowledge and skills that made great foremen. The four pillars are safety; productivity; customer service; and quality.”

ProCertified installers have demonstrated the ability to perform roofing work efficiently and to industry standards.

“We want our team members to have successful careers with our company and industry,” says David Crowther, President of CFS Roofing Services. “We are proud of Ron, Alfredo, and Arturo for taking this next step in their careers.”

ProCertification is not a requirement and is awarded to individuals, not companies.

“At CFS Roofing Services, we take pride in our industry and job performance,” says Tammy Hall, Director of Marketing and NRCA board member. “By investing in our workers, we want our customers to know we are committed to professionalism, quality, proper safety protocols, and the future of our employees. To remain leaders in our industry, consistent training, experienced workers, and continued education keeps us in peak performance and productivity. That can be seen in every project.”
