At the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT) conference this past October 2023, Heidi J. Ellsworth from RoofersCoffeeShop® caught up with Oscar Rodriguez and Rick Santolaya from FlashCo to talk about the various products featured at their booth for the show and what contractors can expect from the brand in the coming year.
Earlier this year, FlashCo launched their line of fall safety protection products, which consists of various permanent roof safety systems designed to help roofers navigate rooftops safely and effectively while granting building owners peace of mind. These systems were designed to be a long-term solution for building owners that not only meet all OSHA safety standards but are reliable solutions contractors can count on to keep them safe whenever the building needs roof maintenance.
Oscar and Rick also discussed FlashCo’s line of prefabricated roof accessories, which they had various examples of at their booth for attendees to interact with and learn about. Oscar mentioned that with both their accessory line and safety systems on display, attendees took great interest in their booth. He shared, “Contractors and distributors are really liking to come by and look at our booth to look for the horizontal lifeline system, which has definitely been one of our main talking points.”
The three also discussed what FlashCo has been seeing across the country when it comes to the commercial roofing industry. Oscar shared, “We’re seeing that contractors are wanting to get off the roof quicker, so getting prefabricated parts is key for them right now. So, we are definitely seeing more opportunities when it comes to getting them prefabricated products so they can cut down time spent up on the roof.”
