The Biden administration has pushed back the deadline for federal contractors to comply with previously announced COVID-19 vaccine requirements for employees from Dec. 8 to Jan. 18, 2022, according to ogletree.com.
A fact sheet released by the White House Nov. 5 stated employees of federal contractors would be required to be vaccinated by Jan. 4, 2022; Executive Order 14042 and its implementing guidance previously had established this vaccination deadline was Dec. 8.
However, on Nov. 10, the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force clarified covered contractor employees must be fully vaccinated no later than Jan. 18, 2022, with their second vaccine dose completed by Jan. 4, 2022. View the task force’s amended guidance.
