The last days of summer bring a strong sense of urgency to prepare for winter. Or at least it should. Many facility managers, building and homeowners realize that they will soon be dealing with harsher weather as rain and snow begin to accumulate. Unfortunately, many facilities and/or homes do not have a regular maintenance program and even more do not have regular gutter maintenance.
“Gutter maintenance is very important in order to protect the building and surrounding area from water issues,” stated James Thomas, president of Topps Products. “We find that many contractors only look at the roof, but if the gutters are not maintained they can cause water to back up into the roof, through the walls or even in the basement.”
Topps Products provide a coating that is meant to repair and maintain gutters, GutterGuard®. “When gutters leak, problems are just beginning. Deterioration rapidly grows, leaks increase, and replacement soon becomes inevitable,” continued Thomas. “However, we have found an alternative to replacing deteriorating gutters, reline them with a seamless rubber system.”
Topps® GutterGuard® is the answer that Thomas offers the roofing industry. Available to buy online, roofing contractors can use GutterGuard® to seal and reline all types of gutters. The extremely tough, remarkable rubber liner goes on by spray or brush, making a perfect custom fit every time. Because it’s made using 100% rubber, it prevents further moisture attack, giving gutters a durable seal, clinging to the edges where it is needed the most; giving extra protection at seams and rivets.
With GutterGuard®, water and debris build up, a common source for rust and corrosion to develop, is blocked out. After installation of the rubber system, gutters will flow better and will require less cleaning. Roofing contractors can keep a very manageable 3-gallon bucket in the back of every truck ready for repairs after every inspection.
