A new piece of modern architecture has recently been completed in Shenzhen, China: the Shenzhen Air Dome. This architectural wonder is not just any structure, it is the world's largest single gas membrane air dome, covering a staggering 16,000 square meters. This innovative structure is designed for large-scale exhibition events and promises to be a hub of activity and creativity.
At the heart of this project is Tedlar® film from DuPont™ Tedlar®, which is a highly durable film used to protect the architectural fabric surface of the air dome. Known for its exceptional properties, Tedlar® ensures that the dome remains pristine and visually stunning for years to come. The Tedlar® surface is UV resistant and dirt-shedding, meaning the bright white color of the dome will maintain its brand-new appearance despite exposure to the elements. Additionally, Tedlar® is low maintenance and easy to clean, making it an ideal choice for exterior roofing projects.
The architectural fabric structures protected by Tedlar® are extremely durable, so the Shenzhen Air Dome can withstand both time and normal wear. The dome will serve as a significant venue for various large-scale events, drawing visitors worldwide.
Located at the Shenzhen International Low Carbon Emission City Air Dome Exhibition Center, this impressive project highlights the capabilities of modern engineering and design. Partnering with Broadwell and Kobond, Tedlar® has once again proven to be a material of choice for high-profile projects that demand both aesthetic appeal and long-lasting performance.
The Shenzhen Air Dome is a great example of what can be achieved with cutting-edge materials and a forward-thinking vision. The future of architectural design is here, as bright and enduring as the Tedlar®-protected surface of the Shenzhen Air Dome.
