Applicants to the general Melvin Kruger Endowed Scholarship Program must be:
*Dependent children are defined as natural or legally adopted children, stepchildren or grandchildren who are declared as tax exemptions by the employee, parent or guardian.
**Two of the scholarships awarded annually are sponsored by Firestone Building Products, Indianapolis. In addition to the general requirements, applicants for these scholarships must:
(Industrial/institutional and international members, students who are dependents, spouses of family members of a CEO, President, or owner of an NRCA contractor or supplier member company and relatives of current Alliance board of trustees or officers are not eligible.)
Awards Each recipient will receive a $5,000 award. Awards are renewable for up to three years of undergraduate study or until a bachelor's degree is earned provided recipients renew annually and maintain a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).
Application Interested students must complete the 3-page application and mail it with a current, complete official transcript to Scholarship Management Services post-marked no later than Jan. 31. Online transcripts are acceptable if the applicant's name, school name, grades, credit hours earned for each course and term in which each course was taken are printed. Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. Applications are evaluated on the information supplied; therefore, questions must be answered as completely as possible. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated. All information received will be kept confidential.
