The Scholarship Program is available to assist FRSA members and their families, along with employees (and their families) of member companies.
Members, employees, and their families who plan to pursue post-secondary education in college or vocational programs on a full-time or part-time basis are eligible for the merit-based scholarships. The criteria for selecting scholarship recipients include but are not limited to: Academic achievement; leadership and participation in school and community activities; honors; work experience; education and career goals.
Awards
Scholarship recipients will receive funding for full-time study at an accredited post-secondary institution. Scholarship amounts will range from $1,000-$2,500. The amount awarded and number of scholarships distributed is based on funding available in any given year. Previous award recipients may reapply as long as they have maintained a 3.0 GPA (or the equivalent). Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Application
Interested students must complete a scholarship application for either the undergraduate/ graduate studies program or the vocational/technical school program. Completed applications and all required materials (official transcripts, letter of recommendation) must be received by or on the deadline date of March 31, 2019. Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. Since applicants are evaluated on the information supplied, questions must be answered as completely as possible. All information received will be kept confidential.
