APOC® 583 Armor-Base™ is the Foundation of a Strong Silicone Coating

This waterborne, modified epoxy is designed to be a multi-functional primer that delivers a sounder and longer lasting substrate.  

Silicone coatings provide high performance protection they typically require just a one coat application. However, the finished result will only be as good as the substrate your silicone coating is applied to. APOC 583 Armor-Base is a high performing, water-borne epoxy designed to be used as a multi-functional primer with APOC silicone coating in order to create a smooth, fully adhered application for APOC silicone roof coatings. 

Application of APOC 583 Armor-Base helps to prevent bleed through over asphalt substrates and improves long-term performance and durability. Armor-Base is specifically designed to seal asphalt molecules, which means it minimizes asphalt separation and helps prevent the migration of oils and the discoloration of silicone coatings.  

Armor-Base also promotes overall adhesion and fills small gaps and hairline cracks to ensure a sounder and more continuous substrate. The deep blue epoxy resin of Armor-Base provides the added function of distinguishing the base coast from the top coat, ensuring no spots are missed and even coverage can be achieved throughout the roof. 

Additionally, Armor-Base has been designed to use with APOC Specification Grade Polyester Reinforcement. This 100% reinforced system creates a fully adhered and leak free base prior to the application of APOC 585 Armor Flex Silicone. Unlike standard silicone coatings, Armor-Base with Eterna-Dri® Technology adds the strength and durability that truly withstands the test of time and the destructive forces of nature.
