Antis Roofing Partners with Waste Not OC to Help Food Insecure

Antis Roofing Waste Not OC
March 26, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

The nonprofit helps get food from restaurants, pantries and other entities to those who need it.

Editor’s note: Watch Charles Antis share what his company is doing in these uncertain times to help others or scroll down to read the transcript.

Hello, I'm Charles Antis, Founder and CEO here at Antis Roofing and Waterproofing in Irvine, California. Wow! As I look at what's going on when I wake up in the morning, I wonder, "How do I lead? "How do I message this? "What do I say internally, inside the company, "and externally in the community?"

Right now, we're looking at Antis Roofing at how do we keep our families safe and dry? But beyond that, we're looking at how do we build the bridge all the way to everyone, no matter what? You realize that in our communities, not only our families need to be protected, but the old and the lame, and the young in our community, those nonprofits that we care about, they need to be funded as well.

In addition to keeping families safe and dry, and some nonprofits safe and dry here in Orange County, Antis Roofing is looking to help those who are immediately in the biggest need, and that is those that are food insecure. That's why we're partnering with Waste Not OC, and offering volunteering, and also donating. Waste Not OC exists to bring food from those entities, restaurants, and food pantries that have it, and move it to those who are food insecure.

We'd like to see you join us in helping Waste Not OC, and in helping move the food to the food insecure in your community. In my lifetime, since I was young, never have I seen a period where everyone in the world is semi-focused on one thing. We're looking at the health of our community. We're looking at the health of our children, and our elders.

Hopefully that we can look back on, a couple of years from now, and say, "Wow! This was the moment we as people "had our awakening. "This is the moment that we took care of our families, "and we took care of everyone in the community." Thank you.

Do you know of someone in the industry who is ‘doing good deeds’ in their community? Help us catch them at it. Send news and information to info@rooferscoffeeshop.com.
