Located in the heart of California’s wine country, Enso Village is a uniquely designed senior living community. Inspired by the “Zen” movement, where life and time are inseparable concepts, intertwined and rather with a focus on mindfulness, this community’s architecture is a mix of stunning modern materials and sleek, flowing lines.
This community’s layout and architecture was designed to be a haven for retired adults ages 60+, where like-minded individuals from across the Sonoma County could commune and find their Zen. The project, completed in fall of 2023, was designed by HKIT Architects. Kodiak Roofing was recruited to lead the roofing installation for the project, installing 16” Design Span® hp metal roofing panels from AEP Span throughout the structures on the property.
Using the panel shade “Cool Old Town Gray,” the installers chose a very modern and bright profile from AEP Span, bringing a very clean and bright visual appeal to the property. The Design Span® hp panels were a great choice, known to be a high-performance metal roofing profile with sharp, clean lines that draw the eye. As the buildings throughout the community lot feature a mix of material types, the use of these metal panels gives a great visual contrast and depth when paired next to the woods and other metal styles.
AEP Span was glad to assist in the project, bringing their manufacturing of their other panels, 16" Span-Lok™ hp, directly to the job site, making them from scratch as the installers used them for the creation of the community’s pool area. They created continuous long-length panels for this portion of the project to give the pool facility a clean, sleek look.
